Colonel Dominic J. Caraccilo assumed command of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team (187th Infantry Regiment) on November 30, 2006. Prior to command he held the position of G3/5/7 for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), serving as the division operations officer for transformation, and the deployment to Multinational Division-North during Operation Iraqi Freedom from September 2005-September 2006.
