E3 Airman First Class (A1C): Airman First Class (A1C) wear a chevron of two stripes without the silver star in the center. Pay grade is E-3. An A1C must comply with Air Force standards and be a role model for subordinates. He or she is expected to devote efforts to mastering the necessary skills in the new career field. The official term of address is “airman first class” or “airman.”
